New York, New York

Staying with David is really working out well since it gives us lots more time with him and also it is working out well because his roommate has gone to Puerto Rico. We have been sleeping on a queen size blow up bed that we brought with us and it has been super comfortable. David lives in one of three buildings for students on the 17Th floor and has a great skyline view of Manhattan. His school is just across the street and the hospital is right up the street. Today we took the bus from his apartment to the subway and then the subway into Manhattan. The sights on the subway were way more fun than the train at Disneyland---graffiti galore and just interesting sights to see along the track before it went underground. We finally actually walked on the Brooklyn Bridge and then we wanted to see the gallery at the Stock Exchange, but since 9/11 no tours are allowed. We met Grace for lunch and then basically enjoyed the sights and sounds of the stores, restaurants, Fifth Avenue, Times Square, Soho, Greenwich Village, etc. of Manhattan. I also talked Craig and David into going to Junior's for my absolute favorite cheesecake. (At this rate, I may just roll home.)
It rained so much today and we tried not to let it spoil our fun, but we were drenched by the time we returned to David's apartment.
