The Kilimanjaro Safari among free roaming wild animals on a (Disney style) safari vehicle in Disney's Africa was a great start to our day in Disney's Animal Kingdom. It was great and gave us a safari feeling as we saw giraffes, gazelle
s, elephants, rhinos, lions, crocodiles, and many more amazing animals. This whole park is absolutely beautiful with its lush lanscapes of waterfalls
streams, lakes, and tropical gardens. There were lots of well marked nature walks with animals and birds. Many parts were like a zoo, but we never felt like the animals were in cages or in restricted areas. W
e saw and learned about many animals we had never seen before, like the large flying fox bats with their
wing spans up to 6 feet and the largest lizard, the komodo dragon, which looked 8 to 10 feet long. Some of the birds were s
o beautiful the coloring looked fake. All these pictures of animals are real. The two musical shows we saw, Finding Nemo and Festival of the Lion King were wonderful! We were spared from rain today, but tomorrow as we head to Epcot it is supposed to rain. Nothing will rain on our parade though. Four amusement parks in four days, what were we thinking!!!!
