Brown, Brown, Everywhere

Tucson really is brown everywhere, but it is the desert and it looks like the desert. We loved walking and driving around and looking at all the different desert plants and cacti and the architecture is really interesting. Most of the houses are brown as well and really blend into the landscape. It is a beautiful area and we really enjoyed exploring some of the sights. We started our day with breakfast outside at a little garden spot called Tohona Chul. I had their specialty, huevos rancheros. It was fun to see Amber and her darling little ones, Jackson and Olivia. It was on Amber's suggestion that we visited the Saguaro National Park. It was like a forest of these huge cacti and then at the visitor's center we learned that some of them were as old as 200 years. We also learned that they don't even start to get their arms until they are at least 75 years old. Great park! Then we were off to Craig's wish list place to see, the Pima Air and Space Museum. I have never seem so many airplanes in my whole life---over 250. There was President Kennedy's Air Force One, SR-71 Blackbird "Spy Plane", five indoor hangers, etc. Craig LOVED every minute of our tour there. We head for El Paso first thing in the morning.
